As Real As It Gets...
My world...my daughters, the two loves of my life. They have inspired me to continue with my education to provide a better future for them. I'm a single mother of two beautiful daughters. They light my mornings with smiles and fill my heart with love. They never seem to disappoint me. It doesn't matter how hard or rough my day is, they will find a way to turn it all around and bless me with their sense of joy and peace. I do no wrong in their eyes. Complete unconditional love. It doesn't get much better than that.
I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for their motivation.
I was only a junior in high school when I was blessed with a child. An unexpected child, to say the least, but a blessing indeed. I made a promise to myself that I would graduate and not become a statistic of your average "teen mom". I wanted to be someone and for the time being, I took a detour to MotherHood Lane. It wasn't long after that I graduated with honors from high school and continued my education at my county college. It was not easy. Working full time, going to school full time, and being a full time mother. I had an excellent support system that helped me along the way. At times I wanted to be "little miss independent" and act as if i can do everything on my own. But sometimes pride has to be second and reality has to be put first. I accepted the loving people in my life and knew that I could not accomplish my goals without them. Shortly after, I was pregnant with my second daughter. Not taking off time at school and refusing to give up my motivation and drive, I applied at Rowan University and continued my education.
Currently I attend Rowan in the Writing Arts program.
Throughout my life, I was inspired to become a police officer or have a career in criminal law. I always tried to keep every door of opportunity open and never let something cross my path without looking further into it. I know there is a plan for me and I will succeed. In my eyes I already have succeeded...
But I'm not finished yet!

Falling in Love...
Love always seem like it was only a fairytale. Something that looked nice on the outside, but what really went on behind the scenes was not pretty at all. At one point,
I couldn't even focus on my personal life,
because my education and children were more important.
Until January 1, 2010. There was just something about this man that made my stomach have butterflies. Although the beginning of our relationship was rocky and a struggle...it was all worth it. Now, almost two years later, I'm happily in love with
my best friend and soulmate.
I... for once, feel like my family is complete.
